Analgesic-antipyretic Ingredients: Paracetamol-500 mg. Indications for use: - pain syndrome of mild and moderate intensity of various origins (including headache, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia); - fevers in colds and infectious and inflammatory diseases. Dosage and administration: Adults and children over 12 years of age - a single dose of 500-1000 mg (1-2 tablets). The maximum daily dose is 4 g / day. Children from 6 to 12 years old - a single dose of 250-500 mg (1/2-1 tablet). The maximum daily dose is 2 g/day. For children from 1 to 5 years old, the dosage regimen is set by the doctor. The recommended single dose, if necessary, can be repeated every 4-6 hours, but not more than 4 times / day. Duration of admission: for symptomatic treatment of fever - no more than 3 days, pain - no more than 5 days. Contraindication: - the patient had hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; - if the patient suffers from diseases of the liver and kidneys; - if the patient suffers from congenital galactosemia, lactase deficiency, malabsorption of glucose and galactose (the drug contains lactose).

Basic physical and chemical properties
Round flat tablets of white with a score on one side and a chamfer on both sides.
Composition
Each tablet of Paracetamol Giga Farm 500 mg. contains; active ingredients; Paracetamol 500 mg.
Inactive ingredients; microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, purified talc.

Pharmacologic effect
Paracetamol has an analgesic, antipyretic and mild anti-inflammatory effect. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and influence on the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus. The maximum effect of the drug develops within 10-60 minutes.
When to Use Paracetamol Giga Farm 500 mg Tablets?
Paracetamol Giga Farm 500 mg can be used to treat;
- Pain syndrome of weak and moderate intensity of various origins (including headache, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia).
- Fever with colds and infectious inflammatory diseases.
Administration
Adults and children over 12 years old; single dosage -500-1000 mg (1-2 tablets). Maximum daily dosage 4g per day.
Children from 6 to 12 years old; single dosage -250-500 mg (1/5-1 tablets). Maximum daily dose 2 g per day.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.

Adverse Effects
In rare cases, nausea, epigastric pain, allergic skin reactions, changes in the peripheral blood (very rarely thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis),
that disappear in case of withdrawal of the drug.
Contradictions
Paracetamol Giga Farm 500mg is not recommended if;
-The patient has hypersensitivity to the components.
-The patient has liver and kidney diseases.
- If the patient suffers from congenital galactosemia, lactase deficiency, malabsorption of glucose and galactose (the drug contains lactose).
Tell the doctor if the patient suffers from one of the above diseases or take another drug.
You need to stop taking the drug or consult a doctor if;
Within 3-5 days the patient's condition does not improve or new symptoms of the disease appear (one should keep in mind the possibility of developing a more serious disease).
Precautions
You need to know about this!
Do not exceed the recommended dose prescribed by doctor. Paracetamol 500 mg. Giga Fram tablets can be used according to indications during pregnancy and during lactation (is the first choice drug).
Precautions should be prescribed the drug Paracetamol 500 mg. Giga Fram tablets with disturbances of function liver and kidneys.
With prolonged use may develop hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity.
Paracetamol 500 mg. Giga Fram tablets are not recommended in conjunction with other medications containing Paracetamol.
Paracetamol 500 mg. Giga Fram tablets are not recommended concurrently with drugs that induce microsomal liver enzymes (barbiturates, antiepileptic preparations, rifampicin, ethanol). With simultaneous metoclopramide may intensify and probenecid - reduce the absorption of paracetamol Giga Farm. With the simultaneous use within 1 hour after taking the Paracetamol Giga Farm cholestyramine reduces the absorption of Paracetamol Giga Farm. In case of prolonged use the drug enhances the effect of anticoagulants (warfarin and other coumarins) which increase the risk of bleeding.
During the treatment with drug Paracetamol Giga Farm one should avoid alcohol (similar disulfiram causes alcohol intolerance).
The drug contains lactose (25 mg in one tablet), which should be taken into account in patients who are suffering from falsehood with the absorption of glucose or galactose, patients with galactosemia or lactase deficiency.
Monitoring of laboratory parameters
During drug treatment Paracetamol Giga Farm 500mg. tablets peripheral blood and liver function should be monitored. You must inform the doctor if the patient simultaneously takes Paracetamol Giga Farm 500mg. tablets with other medicines.
What are the Symptoms of an Overdosage?
Symptoms; nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain (may be one of the first indicators of liver damage), liver and kidney dysfunction, coma. Toxicity is directly proportional to concentration of Paracetamol in the blood plasma. In case of suspect of an overdose of the drug, you should immediately seek medical help. There have been reports of cases of serious liver dysfunction after the use of Paracetamol, including cases of acute renal failure, which required kidney transplantation or had lethal outcome.
Treatment: gastric lavage followed appointment activated charcoal; necessary, symptomatic therapy. Hemodialysis may be necessary. In case of Paracetamol Giga Farm poisoning its antidote N- acetylcysteine is applied, which is more effective if it is used in the first 8 hours after taking of high doses of Paracetamol Giga Farm.
Storage Conditions.
Keep out of reach of children, protected from moisture and light in the original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding 250C.

Expiery date; 3 years. Do not use after the expiration date.

Presentation
10 tablets are packed in a blister pack (PVC-Aluminum). 20 blisters (PVC/aluminum) of 10 tablets each (200 tablets) are placed in the cardboard box.
